Branch and Barrel is a 19th century industrial Craft Bar and Kitchen led by Chef Todd Hogan. Delicious cocktails will be classic and made with the same care and detail as the food coming out of the kitchen. All craft made shrubs, orgeat, mixers and bitters go into the Branch and Barrel signature cocktails. From the kitchen, you can expect fresh as a flavor ingredients. Be sure to ask your bartender or server for info in joining our Bourbon club. We source locally as often as possible, from our cheese and vegetables to the daily baked bread. We embody the expectations you look for in a local neighborhood eatery. In short, we emphasize scratch prepared and served with care.
The Kentucky Coffee -
A drink that truly cannot be produced anywhere in the world but here. We start with cold brewed coffee using Chef Todd’s very own Grindstone Mara blend, and to that we add house made orgeat and coffee bitters and finish it with our brown sugar vanilla simple syrup, cream, and Elijah Craig bourbon. Get this to go if you wish and enjoy it while experiencing Avalon.
The Brussel Sprouts -
Chef Todd really does single handedly support the local sprout farmers. At Branch and Barrel, we fry them golden and toss them in Grindstone seasalt & vinegar seasonings. Beware, this appetizer is highly addictive.
Braised Beef Brisket -
4-hour slow roasted brisket ladled with demi-glaze, served in a cast iron skillet with Karst mac and cheese and sautéed green beans topped with fried tobacco onions. We give you a knife with this, but you won’t need it.
